235Days #131 Bumble Bee
This guy flew like it had overdone on the pollen. He flew kamikaze fashion, bumping into things as he tried to zero in on a virgin blossom. It was hard to follow his flight or have any sense of where it might land long enough for a photo. All morning it teased me as I sat at my desk and watched. Three trips out with my camera and three trips back in with no success.
In the afternoon I grabbed my phone and went out for a little walk. Again the bee crossed my path and bumbled into a blossom. The screen on my cell phone looks completely black on a sunny day, but I got in close and hoped for the best.
Once back indoors it was a happy moment to find I had captured it successfully in three of four shots. This was my favorite. Once again I was surprised at the detail of the bee. To see his microscopic hairs and the stamens so clearly made me happy.
I hope you catch sight of a silly little critter or scene on your Friday travels.
Until tomorrow,
Cheers,
Shez

Great shot ~ well worth your several tries!
Thanks!
You have a great eye and a nice phone camera too! These guys sleep on our flowers at night, and wake up like they are hung over.
This one was drunk and should not have been flying!! My cell phone is not expensive, but it does a great job with photos. It always surprises me.
