346Days ShezPhoto #20 Trick of the Eye

Sunset Behind Us

Power line, road stripe and window chrome

join hands behind us

on the horizon

The mirror revealed the beauty of the sky

The distorted sunset is but a reflection

in the car window

Nothing is the way we expect

And our imaginations fly

Even knowing what we see

Does not stop our disbelief

of so many rules of nature broken

in a single try

I hope you ponder and enjoy

this trick of the eye

Seen once and never again

of our glorious sky

Shez

Xandre, you flatter me, a poet? Not at all. So a huge thanks and hugs too. I just didn’t want too much description for this photo. I wanted comments to make the viewer look, but no lecture. 😉 But when my kids were young I would talk to them in rhyme just to get their attention. As they got older and their friends were around it embarrassed the heck out of them and they would instantly shape up. No more rhymes needed. 🙂
