289Days #77 Critter Feeder

Bird and Squirrel Feeder

In our yard this popular feeder gets filled with corn, seeds, sunflower seeds and peanuts. It is a popular spot for the squirrels and larger birds. The chew marks on the end panel are the result of a large chunk of corn not coming out. The squirrel decided he would use his skills and gnaw his way in. Fortunately we discovered it before the feeder was destroyed.

We don’t have to worry about the spilled seeds, the ducks are out of the pond and in the yard as soon as they see activity.

The last couple of weeks have brought lots of types of birds, unfortunately they are not cooperative subjects for photos.

Hope you all had a prosperous St. Paddy’s Day. I am wearing a green shirt today and should have posted something really green, but if you look closely you can see the green tinge of the green “moss” that grows on the north side of everything during our sunless, wet fall-winter-spring. This is normal and getting rid of it is always on our “Spring Cleaning List.”

Cheers,

Shez
