277Days #89 Sunrise Reflected

Sunrise as Reflected in the Car

As I started to get in the car and leave for work, I was stopped by this amazing reflection in the side of the car. The sunrise peeking through the clouds and perfect silhouettes of the trees superimposed in the foreground. The rain drops on the windows add an interesting swirl to the clouds and do the curves of the car itself. It creates a double sunrise. The surprising part is the car is a very dark merlot color and none of the color of the car changes the reflection.

As you check out my daily posts this year you will notice I have a fascination with reflections. I hunt for them everywhere and it takes being exactly positioned to capture the exact scene. Great fun for me.  This was taken a couple of weeks ago. It has been so dark and dreary the last few days we have not seen a sunrise, not even through the clouds. Only a lighter shade of grey as it becomes less dark.

Happy shooting,

Great shot. I love reflections too. This one is very cool. Another gray, rainy day in Central Oregon. Can’t wait for the sun to shine again.

Thank you for the kind comment. 😀 You know it’s getting bad when Central Oregon is craving sun. At least it’s not raining at this moment, but it is still dreary and grey. A great day for getting things done indoors!! haha

This is a perfect example of how a reflection frames the image in that certain magical way. I don’t know how, but it shows spring very clearly, I guess it must be in the light.

I think it’s luck. Those kind of things are there for a second and gone the next. Hubs says it looks creepy. He can be blunt. I like your opinion better, thanks for seeing it as magical. Thank your for your comments. 😀
