259Days #107 Coast Sunset

Oh how I hoped we would have spectacular sunsets. Instead we had a very calm ocean and soft pastel sky two nights in a row. After deleting lots of photos there are still too many. I will share a few of the early sunset as the sun dips into the ocean.

Cannon Beach As the Sun Begins to Go Down

The clouds parted and the sun glistened off the water and the wet sand.

The colors shift toward golds and blacks.

Focus on the water, the sun is still high and glistens from the shore to the horizon.

Sun Rays Break Through The Clouds

Another minute or two later the rays lighten the clouds and ocean darken.

The colors continue toward blacks and greys people are silhouettes.

The sun low on the horizon reflected in the wet sands.

It was great fun catching birds in the photos. Tomorrow is a special day and  there will be little time for a blog. I hope to get a chance to share Friday the 13th evening photos of the birds during the sunset. Wednesday night I hope to share the sunset finale as the sun dipped into the ocean the sky was brightly lit in reds and golds.

Tomorrow we will see if my plan works out. Until then…
