250Days #116 Gaggle of Geese

A Gaggle of domestic geese root in the mud and each has a shadow

Domestic geese look for food in the mud. Each has a shadow

They were actually hard to spot at first because they were rooting in the mud for worms and snails. When they saw me on the bridge above them they instantly stood to attention and quit eating. I was on a bridge above them. Certainly not something to fear.

One goose has turned to face the others and they look like they are at attention.

"Attention, guys. This person on the bridge is a menace and we need to get out of here. Let's go."

The goose on the left appears to be in charge. They have all turned. She is warning them that I pose great danger to them. They swiftly took to the water and swam quickly away from me. Every one of them in some formation, no one lagged behind. The final shot was of them as they entered a shady area. They were bunched together and difficult to pick out from the shadows already there.

What new and interesting thing did you see today?
