234Days #132 Blown Glass Ceiling

Glass ceiling installation by creative glass blower Dale Chihuly

This gorgeous glass ceiling is installed in the lobby of Belaggios in Las Vegas.

Today I needed to post something a little different in the world of art and sculpture. This piece is all hand blown glass by Dale Chiluly. It reminds me of jelly fish, although there are no tentacles dangling. It could be blossoms. It could be parachutes floating down.

No matter what it is, it is one over the top, gorgeous ceiling. Each piece unique. This is only a small portion of the  whole display. I do not know how many hundreds of pieces compose this work. I would love to have just one piece, each is exquisite and a joy to behold.

Seek beauty and you will find it.

Cheers,

Shez

I love Chiluly’s work and to see that piece in person at the Bellagio is incredible. It reminds me of Jelly Fish too.
