223Days #143 Graduation

Happy Colorado College graduates May 21, 2012

Emily and Becky Colorado College Graduates May 21, 2012

These two girls, both from Oregon have been best friends and basketball team mates for summer ball since sixth grade. They were on opposing high school teams through high school and back on the same team at Colorado College. They are still best friends and wonderful young ladies.

Our granddaughter is on the right. It was our so much fun watching them play basketball and become lovely young ladies heading in different directions in their lives. Both already have jobs Em staying in Colorado, Bec heading to Tennessee. Families happy for them but sad, because we all are in Oregon and know our little girls have left the nest for parts and places far from home.

Congratulations girls, the sky is the limit for both of you. May you do well and prosper doing what you love and making the world a better place. Love to you both, Grams.

Thank you Maralee. My daughter just sent me a note that I had claimed the wrong girl as mine. She was right. And that is where my granddaughter is standing, on the right.

Sad and sweet, happy and scary. She is moving so very far away!! But that’s where the job offer is. I was so lucky we were always so close, but I wonder if that’s why it hurts so much. Your mom will relate to that. 😉
