221Days #145 Red Rock Skeleton Tree

A dead tree stands out against the red rock of Colorado

The dead tree shows off its form against a backdrop of another of the pushed up red rocks.

The sun was bright, very bright when we happened across this dead snag. I loved the way the form of the tree was so clear. It is a fairly tall tree, but due to the size of the surrounding rock forms it looks quite small.

The sun was such a nice reprieve from the soggy clime of Oregon this year. We did have our share of storms in Colorado as well. However, the area is at a very high altitude and a drenching rain can roll in and 5 minutes later the sun is back out and it is warm again. This photo was taken in the Garden of the Gods, Manitou, Colorado, USA.

I did come home to 165 emails and have not had a moment to read them, many of which are your blog posts. Maybe this weekend I’ll have a chance to see what you have been up to the last few days. I do enjoy reading them.

Have a day full of nice surprises.

Cheers,

Shez
