215Days #151 Rainbow Wing

Light reflecting through low clouds at sunset give a rainbow effect to the airplane wing

Rainbow Wing Effect

As we began to taxi toward the runway (and moments before I got caught using my digital camera) this was the sight that greeted me. The rainbow effect was caused in part by shooting through two layers of very dirty airplane window.

I loved this photo enough it was worth the scolding. I hope you think so also.

Cheers,

Shez

What a trouble-maker! But well worth the shot. 🙂

Yep, just a trouble maker. 😉 I wanted to get the ones that came into view as we taxied. Drop dead gorgeous!! But figured it wouldn’t be worth the risk of having the plane grounded and then to deal with the TSA. 😦 It would have been gone in a few seconds. Obviously whoever wrote those TSA rules does not understand photographers.

      Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks. Shot through the dirty plane windows the polarizing filter created the rainbow. No matter where how the ring was turned, there was the rainbow to deal with. I finally decided it looked best on the wing.
