212Days #154 Lightening Train

A train speeds by in the dark. The lights on the train leave trails that evoke speed.

The train sped by in the night.

My youngest grandson’s favorite subject is trains. Not only to talk about but to shoot videos of them crossing past the crossing guards. As a result of his obsession of train photo/videography I take hundreds of photos and videos for him. I am often stopped by people who have seen me often there, if I am a huge train buff. The easy answers is no, I am a huge grandson buff. I’ll do the time just to see him so happy.

So that is where I was one night as the train sped past. I thought it was a wasted photo until I previewed it. I actually saw something  in this photo that depicts the essence of speed. The colors and the flow of them adds a dynamic element. One of those really happy accidents that make up for all the attempts that do not work as planned.

What surprises came your way today?
