206Days #160 Blossom Time Rose & Iris

Blossom Time

A delicate pink rose share the attention with a lavender iris

One delicate pink rose shares center stage with a lovely light lavender iris.

A short walk up the street brought me to a large rose garden in a city area.  The many types of roses were planted by well-meaning citizens, it is not well-tended and has been left to grow a bit wild. These simple roses with few petals are so delicate and beautiful but show no conceit, this one was happy for the company of the light blue or lavender japanese iris. The entire garden was so lovely  I could not stop taking photos. A rather gray overcast day provided perfect light balance for flower portraits.

Wishing you a day filled with beauty.

Agreed. They just are everywhere. Even some of the weeds are pretty spectacular. But you’ll see come next spring. 🙂
