201Days #165 Water Iris

Water Iris are bright yellow and grow in the water at the edge of a pond.

The bright yellow water iris are so pretty as they grown in the water at the edge of a pond.

Who would have thought there could be so many intricate shapes among the iris family. The water iris with their brilliant yellow bloom are a stunning sight to behold as they crowd into the edge of a pond. Up close the delicate brown stripes and the veins of the petals are very intricate. Each bloom only lasts a day.

It was a long and busy day, one that leaves me happy but exhausted and glad to be home. Dinner at 9:30 pm after missing half my breakfast, the other half never made it out of  the refrigerator at work, and  finding not a minute for lunch I thought would revive me. Instead it has made me long for the comfort of bed. But first I need to clean up the kitchen. On second thought the kitchen might best be tackled early tomorrow morning.

Good night all,

Shez
