177Days #189 Regal Tiger
A straight “A” student Tiger mastered any class that came along. Tiger’s major was applied biology with a minor in botany. A spirited student he also served the community by volunteering at the children’s library where he loved to read to small children. He could often be seen taking a dozen children for a walk in the park and he loved to carry them all on his back. In additional to his studies and community volunteering he also was on the track team and remained unbeaten in all distances in high hurdles, setting records that are likely never to be broken.
He loved marching in the band and was a gifted and passionate piccolo player. He was often asked to accompany vocalists because of his amazing piano playing. On occasion he filled in as the featured pianist at concerts. Tiger exhibited talent in many areas including cooking, skiing, swimming, badminton, needlepoint and naps.
This amazing student was really one of a kind. Involved in so many activities, he’s one that will be talked about for years. It took the President of the College fourteen minutes thirty-two seconds to read through all his honors and awards at graduation. But in spite of his many talents, he was a laid back guy and was always available to comfort anyone. He loved everyone from babies to great-great-grannies, and was always ready with a big soft hug.
He just seemed bigger than life…
at ten feet long not including his tail, Tiger was the biggest plush animal I had ever seen.
