152Days #214 Airport 2

Some kind of what appears to be natural pods with skinny black straws coming out of them.

Airport Sculptural Wall, another piece.

We are back at the airport to take another look at another piece of the sculpture wall. This piece appears to be some kind of seed pod or pods that are glued together. Black rods are sticking out from the piece. The pods were a rich brown, but the lighting made it look dark and flat. No amount of tweaking improved the color or set off the rich details. So what to do when the depth has been lost?

This was my answer to that question. First it was converted to black and white and then an after clicking on several artistic modes, the water-color feature in PhotoShop created a photo of interest. Additional contrast and finally the depth of the pods was revealed. I do wish you could see it in the warm brown shade with the black sticks.

This does create an interesting piece. After a lot of pondering, my original questions remain, what is this? Who made this? What are the materials? And does it represent anything?

Until tomorrow when I share another portion of this piece,

Cheers,

Shez
