57Days #309 Rain Fall Leaves

Single wet red leaf on the Chinese Dogwood

Even in the rain the stunning color of this red leaf of the Chinese Dogwood shines brightly.

Earlier this year I posted photoz of the Chinese dogwood seed pods. The leaves were at deep green and the seed pods were red. Saturday, the leaves had mostly turned and red and fallen. The ones that remained were beautiful even wet in the rain.

A branch of the Chinese Dogwood shows the color spectrum of the fall leaves from gold to red.

The fall colors of the leaves of this tree are a spectacular show every year. This year I was gone during their brilliant reign, but was happy to see some had stayed so I could capture their beauty in spite of the rain.

Cheers to beautiful colors,

Shez
