9Days #357Mice Invassion

2012-12-21 22.16.08

My two granddaughters came to make cookies, but instead of cookies what appeared was an invasion of mice. The mice apparently ate all the Hershey Kisses, because right after they arrived we discovered the empty Kisses bag. It was quite the mystery.

It was a great project, though it might have been a little easier if the six-year-old didn’t enjoy dunking the maraschino cherries making them dive and swim and do tricks before they were removed and placed on the parchment. But on the plus side, she wouldn’t quit until all 70 of them were coated and every single one had two eyes and a nose. Fortunately the older granddaughter is a teacher and had patience to spare, plus she had the tedious job of attaching the head and ears.  The end result? Mission accomplished.

Cheers to invasions of Chocolate Cherry Mice for Christmas,

Shez

Aww, thank you. They were a hit, my granddaughters are so clever. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. Mine was wonderful, although 5 days with 4 hours of sleep a night was a bit much and NOT recommended. And I did not post a thing during that time. So much for meeting my post goal, but so much more fun to spend the time with family. 😀
