184Days #182 Yellow Bugatti

A completely restored 1930s vintage Bugatti, yellow and black

Yellow and black Bugatti vintage 1930s value millions.

This gorgeous vehicle was not really to my personal liking. However, the craftsmanship was over the top. No detail was imperfect. Each piece from a nut to a bolt to a small screw was polished and crafted into a thing of beauty. It was part of a touring automobile show where every vehicle was valued at well over a million dollars. The interior was authentic ostrich leather. It looked incredibly soft, but of course we could not touch it on anything on the car.

It has unique bumpers which left a calligraphic shadow on the floor. The were six tail pipes in a row coming out of the back of the car on the driver side. Each was of a different length that reminded me of a pan pipe. I wondered if it created a musical sound when the car was running.

Tomorrow, July 1st will be my final post in this week’s series of YELLOW. It will also mark the half way point of posting a photo a day. I know some people have commented that the photo was also supposed to be taken on the day it is posted, but I do have to admit that working up to 58 hours a week at times, having an illness, spending much-needed time with family prohibits me being able to process photos on a daily basis. It is not unusual for me to take hundreds of shots in a single day and it is rare that I do not take several photos every day. Unfortunately, processing usually is reviewing a huge number and then choosing six to eight photos which I process at one time.

A challenging commitment  does become a new habit. Some time ago a temporary life style change made me decided to write every day, not just “someday.” Within a month I had developed the habit of daily writing. It is nearly four years later and I have not missed a day. So it is all good.

Now that I have confessed that these photos are not each taken on the day they are posted, I hope you are enjoying some of my work. To all of you who have found me and take the time to follow and comment, I thank you.

The above photo taken July 02, 2011.  😉 A one time opportunity in a 30 minute time frame, I walked away with dozens of shots. I’ve kept them all, not because each photo is perfect but because each photo is priceless.

Cheers,

Shez

How disappointing to see that this blog posted for today. I sent it about 5 minutes before midnight, I know cutting it way to close. Unfortunately it took forever to send and was accepted at 12:01. Is a slow internet a useable excuse? It odes beat the dog ate my homework. 😉
